The SHARE’d Treasures Thrift Store relies on volunteers to maintain operations. If you are interested in volunteering and can make a 6 month commitment of 4 hours a week, we have numerous opportunities available.
We also offer a flexable schedule for students, who need to complete hours as part of the requirements for graduation.

Looking for volunteers who enjoy meeting people ...

  • Volunteer Drivers: If you have a current drivers licence and can provide SHARE with a drivers abstract, the thrift store is in need of drivers who can volunteer once per week picking up donations and delivering our recycleables.This is a physically demanding postiion that requires lifting.
  • Customer Service Rep: If you have the gift of gab and like a fast paced environment we have opportunities available to greet our customers and assist them with all their shopping needs.
  • Cashiers:  Whether you have knowledge of handling cash and debit transactions. Full training is provided.
  • House and Home Department:  If you like to putter and keep busy this volunteer opportunity is perfect for you.  You would be responsible for restocking and keeping the housewares stocked and organized, show off your creativity and set up displays.
  • Family Attire Departments: You would be responsible for restocking the clothing and accessories departments, rotating stock, keeping displays tidy. Greeting customers and assisting cashiers with bagging up purchases.
  • Welcome Greeter: Greet our donors, assist with handling of their donation and provide alternate information for items not accepted. Assist fellow volunteers with taking stock to the sales floor. Breaking down and recycling cardboard and emptying trash.
  • Quality Control Clerks: Being a quality control clerk is sorting of donations and ensuring only the highest quality items are kept. This position is physical but very rewarding. Having a keen eye and being up to date on fashion is helpful for this position to ensure items that are not saleable are recycled.
  • Stock Prep Clerks: This is a multi tasking position of steaming clothing, sizing. Tagging and pricing of our family attire.
  • Linen Specialist: If you have knowledge of fabric and house and home collections this is a great opportunity for you. You would be responsible for processing of sheet sets and assorted linens for sale.
  • Spare Block Volunteer: Attention students, are you needing an easy way to get all your volunteer credits done for graduation? The SHARE’d Treasures Thrift Store needs your help.
    We are looking for students who can come for one hour a day to assist fellow volunteers take stock up and restock our sales floor.This is a great way to make use of spare blocks while supporting your own community.
