Stories of Success and Hope

Trevor was a very successful businessman and professional. He was also a substance user and had been for 40 years. His addiction cost him everything and was killing him when he turned to SHARE for help. Trevor has been substance-free for a year and a half.

Doreen for a year and addicted to both cocaine and meth amphetamine when she went to the SHARE Food Bank in Port Coquitlam. She found more than food. She found a family with the volunteers and staff. “This is my support group. All the people that work here know my situation. They’re awesome. That’s why I come every week to help out.” She has not been using for a year and is a regular volunteer at the Food Bank. She says,“It’s how I give back to the community”.
