SHARE’s Family Resource Program (FRP) - our “Parent & Tot Drop-In” and related early childhood development services at Mountain View and Clarke Street - has won the provincial “Distinguished Service Award” for this year from the BC Association of Family Resource Programs! This is one of two “Distinguished Service Awards” which the Association offers annually to member organizations whose work demonstrates adherence to the Association’s provincial standards of practice.
We have been awarded the “Continuum of Service Award” which is granted to FRP’s which are part of a larger multi-service agency.
We received the award at the Association’s Annual General Meeting. Arshia Bakhshandeh and Azar Afrooz, who are the “heart” of our early childhood development/Family Resource Program at both MTV and Clarke Street, accepted the award on behalf of our ECD team.
SHARE was also awarded a 5-year certificate in recognition of our having successfully implemented the Association’s Provincial Standards of Practice. Approximately 1/3 of the Association’s membership has achieved this certification. More information is available through the Association’s website (www.frpbc.ca).
