About Auction Items ...

Please know that our general rule of thumb is that each item on the silent auction table will be valued at a minimum of $100. Items valued at less than $100 will be packaged with other items and your company name will be listed with others on the bid sheet. Items valued greater than $100 will have their own bid sheet and dedicated space on the table.

About Issuing Receipts ...

In issuing receipts for donations, we are obliged to follow the regulations established by the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA). As follows:

If you donate one or more items that are part of your business’ inventory, you can write the item(s) off as a loss/expense and cannot receive or use a tax receipt for said item(s).

If you purchase an item for us in your company (or your personal) name, and provide us with the receipt, we can issue a tax receipt to either you or your business.

If you donate an item you already possess (for example, an item you won as a prize, or a piece of jewellery you do not wear), then we can only issue a tax receipt if you can provide three independent assessments of the item’s value.

On April l17, 2010 SHARE Family and Community Services will open the doors of the beautiful Red Robinson Show Theatre to welcome up to 500 guests to Just Desserts, our annual fundraising gala. Our guests are primarily TriCity residents. They share a passion for the vibrancy of this community and the health of the families who live here.
